Providence Animal Control: Bag thrown from car with cats inside

News

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – Providence Animal Control Center is looking for help finding those who are responsible for tossing a bag of cats out of a car window.

A post on Animal Control’s Facebook page says eyewitnesses watched as a car in front of them throws the bag and stopped to see what was inside.

The eyewitnesses were shocked when they opened the bag and found two adult cats and four kittens. The animals appeared to be clean and well cared for, and the two older cats had flea collars.

The cats were picked up on Dedham Avenue. If you recognize these animals or have any information, you’re asked to reach out to the Providence Animal Control Center’s Facebook page through messenger or call (401) 243-6040.
