(WPRI) -- Several U.S. government agencies are closing Wednesday to mark a national day of mourning for the 41st President of the United States, George H.W. Bush, who died late Friday night.
The U.S. Postal Service announced it is suspending regular mail delivery Wednesday. Some special delivery services were expected to continue.

Federal agencies and courts are closed Wednesday.
Rhode Island and Massachusetts state offices and courts are open Wednesday.
The stock markets, including the New York Stock Exchange, are closed.
But the Providence VA Medical Center won't be closing; a VA rep said in a news release Tuesday their agencies statewide will be continuing services for veterans.
