Police: Suspect sought in deadly stabbing in Fall River

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — Police are searching for the suspect in a deadly stabbing on Hall Street.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 29-year-old Adam Conners of Fall River.

Conners is wanted in the stabbing death of 39-year-old Joseph Reading of Fall River.

The Bristol County District Attorney says Reading was found fatally stabbed inside a car in the area of Church and Hall Streets around 11:45 p.m. Saturday night.

Fall River police found him unresponsive and bleeding in the passenger seat. 

Reading was rushed to St. Anne’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The District Attorney’s office said police learned Reading attended a gathering at 160 Hall Street where he was involved in an altercation and injured.
