COVENTRY, R.I. (WPRI) — Police are working to identify a suspect in an attempted robbery at a Subway restaurant in Coventry.

According to police, a male suspect walked into the Subway on Nooseneck Hill Road Monday and demanded money from the two teenaged employees.

Police said the workers didn’t respond to the suspect, who became agitated and left the restaurant.

The same man entered a liquor store in West Greenwich 20 to 30 minutes later.

Police said the suspect appeared to be in his mid-40s to mid-50s, and was wearing what appeared to be a white t-shirt on his head and a plastic shopping bag tied around his face.

The man left in a four-door sedan, according to police.
