DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WPRI) — Police have caught a student who they say wrote a bomb threat on a bathroom stall at Dartmouth High School last month.

Dartmouth police said they responded to the school on March 1 after another student discovered the threat in one of the girls’ bathrooms.

The school was placed on lockdown as police looked into the credibility of the message.

Using surveillance video, police identified several students who used the bathroom during the time frame in which the threat was written. Eventually, one of the girls confessed to writing it, according to police.

Police said criminal charges against the girl are pending.
