Police searching for New Bedford armed robbery suspect


NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) — Police in New Bedford are searching for a suspect who robbed a convenience store Sunday evening.

A suspect armed with a knife reportedly entered N&W Convenience on Belleville Avenue at approximately 8:15 p.m on Sunday. Police say that he demanded money and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken. The clerk was not injured.

The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5’10” and 160 pounds. He was wearing a ski mask, a blue hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black sneakers, and latex gloves.

He was last seen fleeing on foot on Phillips Avenue.
