Police: Robber threatened store clerk with shotgun

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Police are searching for an armed robbery suspect who they say threatened a store clerk with a shotgun.

Police said the white male suspect was wearing a mask when he walked into the Cumberland Farms on Division Street shortly before 4 p.m. Thursday.

According to Pawtucjet police, the suspect opened a duffle bag containing a shotgun, showed the clerk the weapon and then threatened to shoot her.

Police said the suspect took off with cash and cigarettes.
