Woonsocket shooting disturbance

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Police are investigating after a disturbance in Woonsocket left one man injured.

According to Woonsocket Deputy Police Chief Michael Lemoine, crews responded to Colon Auto Repair on South Main Street for reports of a disturbance around 7:30 p.m.

“It appears shots were fired and a male sustained a non-life threatening injury to his foot,” Lemoine said in an email. “It’s too early to say this individual was shot in the foot.”

Lemoine said no one else was injured in the incident and the investigation is ongoing.
