Police find suspected fentanyl, crack cocaine inside Coventry man’s home


COVENTRY, R.I. (WPRI) — A Coventry man is facing drug charges after police said they found suspected fentanyl and crack cocaine inside his Windsor Park Drive home.

According to the Coventry Police Department, Kareem Machado, 37, was taken into custody on April 30 after officers executed a search warrant and found what appeared to be fentanyl, crack cocaine, Suboxone, cash, a digital scale and packaging materials.

Machado was charged with possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, possession with intent to deliver Suboxone and possession of crack cocaine. He was arraigned on May 1 and was later presented as a bail violator on a 2018 domestic assault by strangulation charge.

He was ordered held without bail at the ACI on the new charges against him.
