CHICOPEE, Mass. (WPRI) — Five days after being cited for having an overloaded truck, the overzealous motorist was at it again, driving his red pick-up filled to the brim with tree branches.

Last Wednesday, Massachusetts State Police pulled a man over for driving with an unsecured load on I-91 in Springfield. The driver’s truck bed had chairs and other pieces of furniture, tied together only by rope and extension cords.

State police cited the driver for having an unsecured load, obstructed tail lights and an obstructed license plate.

Just five days later, an officer pulled over the same driver in Chicopee for driving with his truck bed full of tree branches, leaves and debris. The driver was once again cited for the second time on the exact same charges.

Police are urging motorists to secure their loads before driving and to report these types of instances to local police departments to prevent dangerous situations.
