PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — An effort to crack down on prostitution in the area of Broad Street resulted in 12 arrests this week.
Pawtucket and Central Falls police said they launched a joint investigation after receiving complaints from residents, business owners and pedestrians.
In total, 12 people were arrested in a span of several days.
Six women were charged with one count of loitering for prostitution:
Jennifer Bice, 34, of Providence
Lisa Torres, 40, of Central Falls
Chauntelle Brodeur, 31, of Pawtucket
Tammy Miguel, 44, of Central Falls
Alyssa Maurelli, 30, of Central Falls
Nicole Hazard, 32, of Cranston
Six men were charged with one count of procurement of sexual conduct for a fee:
Joao Brito, 71, of Pawtucket
Richard Delano, 55, of Pawtucket
Cesar Davila, 46, of Attleboro
Stanley Wec, 69, of Central Falls
Martin Landinez, 54, of Central Falls
Carlos Bergollo, 47, of Pawtucket
