MANHUNT: Suspect still at large after 3 people killed in NW Austin shooting incident

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Austin police are conducting a manhunt in northwest Austin after three people were killed in a shooting at Great Hills Trail and Rain Creek Parkway in the Arboretum area.

The scene was previously reported as a possible active shooter situation, however, Austin Police Department now says it appears it was an isolated domestic event.

Ex-mayor Correia to face jurors in fraud, bribery case

BOSTON (AP) — After he was elected mayor of Fall River, Massachusetts, at just 23 years old, it seemed Jasiel Correia’s political career had nowhere to go but up. Bright and dynamic, Correia charmed voters by portraying himself as a successful entrepreneur who could revive the struggling old mill city.

Prosecutors say in reality he was a fraud and a thief.

Cathedral Camp closes after offering a century of fun for visitors

FREETOWN, Mass. (WPRI) - For thousands of people in Southeastern Massachusetts, Cathedral Camp in East Freetown has been synonymous with summertime. Whether they went to day camp for a week or all summer, they have fond memories of playing on the fields, by the water, and with new friends.

Camp programs were canceled in the summer of 2020 due to the pandemic, and Cathedral Camp announced on their website they were notified by the Diocese of Fall River the camp would be closed this year, due to financial strains.
