(WPRI) — Hometown Food Company has voluntarily recalled more than 12,000 cases of Pillsbury Unbleached All-Purpose Flour due to possible salmonella contamination.

According to the USDA, the packages of flour were distributed in grocery stores nationwide, including Publix and Winn-Dixie.

The recalled flour has a lot code of either 8292, 8293 and a “best if used by” date of April 19, 2020 or April 20, 2020.

There have been no reports of illness related to the recall. Consumers should return the flour to the place of purchase for a full refund.

The FDA is also reminding everyone not to eat raw dough while baking or preparing food.

“Flour, regardless of brand, can contain bacteria that cause disease,” the FDA tweeted.
