PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP/WPRI) — Construction on the nation’s first offshore wind farm has finished. Deepwater Wind built a five-turbine wind farm off Block Island.
Deepwater Wind CEO Jeffrey Grybowski, who tweeted a photo of the five turbines on Thursday, says the wind farm is now fully constructed.
The final blade for the fifth turbine was installed last week.
