Sections of Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts were hit Wednesday with downpours and strong winds, causing significant damage in spots.
A Tornado Warning was in effect at the time, but has since expired. The National Weather Service believes a tornado did touch down in Rhode Island and Connecticut, and will be surveying the damage Thursday.
