Peter Pan bus resumes limited service between NYC, RI following explosion

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – Service to and from New York City on the Peter Pan bus line was suspended for several hours Monday following an attempted terrorist attact in Port Authority, New York’s main bus terminal.

The company announced at 9:15 a.m. that all service was suspended.

By 3:15 p.m., the company Tweeted that limited service had resumed and that normal service would run Tuesday.

Peter Pan released a statement Monday with full details on cancellations.

The announcement came after a man detonated a pipe bomb in a subway near the Port Authority – which is the main bus terminal in Manhattan. Officials are now calling the incident an attempted terrorist attack.
