Pawtucket police seeking hit-and-run driver

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) – Pawtucket police say a man was seriously hurt after being struck by a hit-and-run driver Saturday morning.

Police said that the victim was walking on Newport Avenue near Oakland Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle heading south on Newport Ave.

The victim wasn’t sure of the exact time but thought it happened between 1 a.m. and 2:30 a.m.

The man suffered serious injuries and is being treated at the hospital.
