PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Pawtucket police say they’ve taken two illegal guns off the street.
On July 29, officers responded to an apartment on Arthur Street to assist a constable with a court-ordered eviction. When they arrived, they were informed a man leaving the apartment had weapons. When officers attempted to stop the suspect, later identified as Keshawn Jones, they say he ran from them. Jones was arrested following a short pursuit. Police say he was in possession of two firearms.
Jones is charged with possession of a machine gun, altering the identification marks on a firearm, carrying a pistol without a license, and resisting arrest.
