Pawtucket apartment fire sends one person to the hospital

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Crews were on scene of a fire at an apartment building on Dartmouth Street Wednesday night in Pawtucket.

According to Pawtucket Fire Chief William Sisson, one person was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation but everyone else made it out of the Geneva Apartments safely.

The Chief also says there is damage to the unit where the fire began and residents were able to return to all but two units on Wednesday.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
