Foxboro, Mass. (WPRI) – Patriots fans from across New England flocked to the Hall at Patriots Place over the weekend to pose with the team’s fourth Lombardi Trophy.
Thousands of Patriots fans stood in long lines to get a chance to see the Vince Lombardi Trophy in all it’s glory. Fans proudly displayed the number four. Four Super Bowl wins, four times the team has brought a trophy back to Foxboro.
From February 6th to February 8th only the new England Patriots are offering fans an opportunity to take their picture beside the fourth Lombardi Trophy. Picture time is including with admission to the Hall at Patriot Place.
Diehard Patriots fans waited in line inside the Hall and hundred more stood outside in the cold for up to five hours. But no one seemed to care a chance to see the Trophy was worth it. The Patriots organization also offered free hot chocolate to those waiting in line.
Kate Bullock came from Arlington, Mass. for the chance to snap a picture with the famous hardware. “Happy as can be, waiting four to five hours to see the trophy with amazing Patriots fans,” She said.
Other fans said this was an amazing opportunity that just added to the team’s Super Bowl XLIX win.
