Paré: ‘Nightclub zone’ will likely never happen


PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – Earlier this month, the chairman of the city’s licensing board proposed a “nightclub district” that would allow for round-the-clock liquor service and looser restrictions on items like bottle service and entertainment.

In the video above, Providence Public Safety Commissioner Steven Paré discusses why he thinks “conceptually” it’s a good idea, but likely will never happen.
