SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) — Residents of South Kingstown and Narragansett are no longer being directed to reduce their outdoor water use.

In a joint announcement Wednesday, the two towns said odd/even and weekend outdoor water restrictions had been lifted for customers of the SUEZ water system, the town of South Kingstown’s Middlebridge and South Shore water systems, and the town of Narragansett’s water system, effective immediately.

The water restrictions have been in place since August 3. They were issued due to dry conditions and heavy consumer demand.

Despite the restrictions being lifted, the water utilities ask their customers to continue to use water wisely and conserve when possible.
