No charges for N. Attleboro limousine company in passenger’s death

BOSTON, Mass. (WPRI) – One woman was killed and another injured after falling out of a party bus in East Boston early Sunday morning.

The crash happened just after 2 a.m. on McClellan highway in East Boston.

The party bus company believes the accident was the result of a passenger trying to open an emergency exit window for fresh air, and then mistakenly falling out of the bus.

Both women were hit by passing vehicles as a result of the crash. Their identities have not yet been released by officials.

Celebrity Limousine Worldwide, based out of North Attleboro, is not facing any charges as a result of the deadly crash.

The company’s general manager says there was no negligence on their part, and released a statement saying:

“We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims. We are cooperating with Boston Police and will provide officials with anything that they need to investigate this tragic accident. Our driver was questioned by Boston Police briefly as per protocol before he was released and sent home. We have been in the business since 1999, with no accidents ever on our record and will continue to cooperate during the investigation of this tragedy. Again our deepest sympathies to the victims families.”

The company also says they’ve been cooperating with investigators, and the driver’s safety record is spotless.
