LOS ANGELES (MEDIA GENERAL) – This weekend’s movie releases are getting mixed reviews and some are getting downright bad reviews.

“The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” has an all-star cast including Judi Dench, Richard Gere, Bill Nighy, Maggie Smith and Dev Patel. The film described as a comedy/drama revolves around the hotel with only one remaining vacancy and a dream of expansion by the managers.

“Unfinished Business” is getting some tough reviews from critics. Starring Vince Vaughn and Dave Franco, this comedy is about a business trip to Europe that goes terribly wrong for a small-business owner hoping to make a big deal. NPR wrote, “’Unfinished Business’ you’re better off not even starting.”

“Chappie” is also getting bad reviews from many critics. The sci-fi action/thriller stars Hugh Jackman and Sigourney Weaver. It’s set in the near future when a mechanized police force patrols the streets and deals with people who break the law. In the film, the people start fighting back. Time magazine writes, “We need good sci-fi movies, and ‘Chappie’ isn’t one of them.”
