NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) — Two men are accused of selling heroin and other drugs out of a New Bedford apartment.

Police said they raided an apartment building on Davis Street Thursday night, and arrested 49-year-old Edwin Davis and 41-year-old Richard Ribeiro. Officers began investigating following several complaints from neighbors about people coming and going from a second-floor apartment.

Police said officers found $5,000 worth of drugs in the apartment, including:

  • 42 grams of Heroin
  • 64 Tramadol tablets
  • 3 Percocet tablets

Officers also seized $3,395 in cash.

Both men were scheduled to be arraigned Friday on drug trafficking charges. Police said Ribeiro would face additional charges, because of a previous drug conviction.
