Mansfield police looking for breakin suspect

MANSFIELD, Mass. (WPRI) – Mansfield police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who broke into a liquor store Sunday morning.

Officers arrived at Bristol Liquors at 670 East Street a few minutes before 3:30 a.m. for an alarm activation. They found the front door had been broken but the building was clear.

With the owner’s help, police determined that the suspect had broken into the store and taken several packs and cartons of cigarettes and also emptied several cash registers before fleeing.

The suspect was caught on camera and is described as a white man wearing a leather jacket over a hooded sweatshirt. The hood was up and pulled around his head, and he was also wearing a surgical mask, gloves, and blue jeans.

Police said that several vehicles were seen passing by at the same time the crime occurred. Anyone with information on the breakin is asked to call Detective Kerr at the Mansfield Police Department at 508-261-7301 x61206.
