Man, woman sought in Fall River assault

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — Police are working to track down two suspects in connection with an assault in Fall River that sent a man to the hospital last week.

According to city police, arrest warrants have been issued for Shannon Smith and Adam Levesque on a charge of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon.

Police said they responded to 204 Rock St. around 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 9 and arrived to find a 39-year-old man suffering from unspecified injuries. He was transported by ambulance to Charlton Memorial Hospital then transferred to Rhode Island Hospital for more advanced treatment, police said.

The incident remains under investigation.

Smith, 36, stands 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-6 and weighs approximately 120-125 pounds while Levesque, 38, stands 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 and weighs approximately 150-175 pounds.

Smith has a last known address of 204 Rock St., according to police, while Levesque has a last known address of 1114 North Main St. 

The relationship between the suspects and the victim has not been disclosed.
