FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — A man wanted for his alleged involvement in a pair of shootings in Fall River surrendered to authorities late Tuesday morning.
Accompanied by his attorney, Johny J. Rios turned himself in at Fall River District Court and was arraigned on charges stemming from both shootings, according to city police.
Rios, 23, was added to the city’s most wanted list after he was identified as a suspect in an incident on Oct. 29 in which a man was shot in the leg outside a jewelry shop on Pleasant Street.
Police said Rios was also wanted in connection with a shooting in July on Rocliffe Street, which is adjacent to Pleasant Street.
Both shootings took place during daylight hours.
