Man stabbed at Providence lounge

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A 22-year-old man is in the hospital after being stabbed early Sunday morning.

Police say the victim was stabbed outside Euphoria Lounge on Union Street at about 2 a.m. before fleeing down Francis Street.

He was found on West Exchange Street near the Omni Hotel.

The victim was brought to Rhode Island Hospital with life-threatening stab wounds to his chest and back. He underwent emergency surgery at the hospital.

Authorities told the Associated Press the victim was uncooperative with officers and this stabbing was not connected to another stabbing less than an hour later on Hammond Street.

There’s no word on whether or not any arrests have been made.
