Man Arrested For Trespassing At Taylor Swift’s House

Westerly, R.I. (WPRI) – A man was arrested on April 12 for attempting to jump the fence outside the property owned by pop star Taylor Swift in Westerly.

Oswaldo Cruz Flores, 19, of Westerly was arraigned on a misdemeanor trespassing charge on Friday. Flores pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Westerly police say the gates were closed at all entrances of the water-front property.

Police say Flores jumped a fence to gain entry to the home. Security guards are positioned at the front entrance of the estate most of the time, Flores climbed the fence at the back of the home.

Flores told police he was there to see someone.

Taylor Swift was not present at the time of the incident.

Flores was released after promising to appear for a pretrial conference on May 8.
