PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Rhode Islanders who will be unable to make it to the polls on Election Day have until Tuesday to apply for a mail ballot, three weeks before the Nov. 6 general election.

In Massachusetts, voters have until the day before Election Day to apply for a mail ballot but officials advise submitting applications at least a week beforehand.
