Warwick graffiti suspect Joshua Carey

WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — Police arrested a Providence man over the weekend in connection with a string of vandalism in Warwick.

Police say Joshua Carey, 28, was taken into custody Sunday on six counts of malicious damage to property for allegedly spray-painting graffiti on homes, businesses and at least one vehicle in the area of Bald Hill Road and East Avenue in late April.

The graffiti spelled out “PUKE” and “IGS,” according to police.

Police allege Carey also spray-painted graffiti in Scituate and several other Rhode Island communities.
