Warwick couple escapes house fire; pet still missing

WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — Emergency crews rushed to a house fire in Warwick early Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out just before 5 a.m. at a home on Winslow Avenue. Police say the couple who lives there was able to get out safely but they were still looking for a family pet that was inside at the time.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
