CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — Friends and family are planning to gather Sunday night, to honor a Cranston woman who was killed last week.
A vigil will be held at 5:30 p.m. at Hugh B. Bain Middle School, honoring Lauren Ise.
Police say Ise’s death is a tragic case of domestic violence.
Michael T. Marrapese, 40, son of the late Frank “Bobo” Marrapese, has been arrested and charged with the murder.
Police said they found Ise dead Wednesday morning at the Bay View Avenue apartment previously shared by the estranged couple. They said they were acting on a tip from Providence police that Ise may have been killed.
Michael Marrapese is no stranger to the law, with a lengthy criminal history that includes time spent at the ACI and an arrest on a disorderly conduct charge just last month, police say.
