CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — Crews responded Monday morning to a fire at a T.J. Maxx in Cranston.

Firefighters put out the flames at the Chapel View Boulevard location in around 20 minutes after the call came in around 9:30 a.m., according to the Cranston Fire Department.

The building sustained damage in the rear part of the roof. According to fire officials, they are investigating if work being done on the roof could have caused the fire.

A T.J. Maxx spokesperson later said they expect to reopen Monday afternoon. No injuries were reported.
