Police: Resident shot through glass door in Warwick neighborhood

WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — Police have a suspect in custody after they say a person was shot through a front door Tuesday night.

The incident occurred at a home on West Shore Road near Tidewater Drive around 7:30 p.m. in Warwick. Police said bullets came through the front glass door of the home, hitting a resident inside. The victim was rushed to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

According to police, the shooter was on the opposite side of the street. Several police cruisers could be seen surrounding the area as detectives continued to investigate.

Police said they have a suspect in custody. They said with the help of witnesses they were able to track the suspect down.
