Police: Pair went on shopping spree with counterfeit money

WARWICK, R .I. (WPRI) — Warwick police are hoping the public can help them track down a man and woman they say passed counterfeit money in the city.

According to a post on the department's Facebook page, a man and a woman entered a Burlington Coat Factory and bought $800 worth of merchandise using eight counterfeit $100 bills.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Detective Matthew Smith at (401) 468-4239.
