Police: Man robbed same Warwick gas station twice

WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — The suspect in an overnight gas station robbery was previously arrested for robbing the same store, Eyewitness News has learned.

Nathan Fay, 21, was identified by police as the suspect involved in a stolen vehicle and robbery investigation that occurred in Warwick Monday evening.

Police said Fay took a car from a Seasons Corner Market on Elmwood Avenue, which was left running at a gas pump while the owner went inside to pay.

According to police, Fay then drove the car to a Valero Gas Station where he robbed the clerk of $300 at gunpoint.

Fay robbed the same gas station in January 2018 when he handed the clerk a note demanding money.

Police located the stolen vehicle down the road from the scene and Fay was taken into custody nearby.

Fay was charged with second-degree robbery and driving a motor vehicle without the consent of the owner.

A judge set Fay’s bail at $30,000 with surety. He is also a Superior Court violator, meaning he could face up to five years in prison.
