COVENTRY, R.I. (WPRI) — A Coventry man was arrested after police say he pointed a handgun at two other men during an argument.
Officers were called to the area of Pulaski and Washington Streets just before midnight Sunday for an incident involving a man with a gun.
When officers arrived, they spoke with the two victims who said they were confronted by a man who lived at a home on Pulaski Street and had confronted them while they drove by the suspect’s home.
After an exchange of words, the suspect, later identified as Christopher Digman, 35, pulled out a handgun and pointed it at them.
The victims were able to escape the area unharmed. Officers quickly located Digman and he was taken into custody.
The Detective Division then responded to the scene and executed a search warrant at the home. They found several weapons, one of which is believed to have been used in the assault.
Digman is facing two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and carrying a weapon while intoxicated.
