GLOCESTER, R.I. (WPRI) — Glocester police have arrested a man, charging him with two counts of arson.

Investigators say that Steven Foster, 44, of Glocester, was responsible for a suspicious fire that destroyed a garage and everything inside on Wilmarth Road the night of May 4.

As a result of the investigation, Foster was also charged for his involvement in another fire at the same address in June of 2017. That fire destroyed a different garage and all of its contents.

Foster was charged with two counts of 2nd degree arson and was released on bail. He is expected back in court at a later date.

The Rhode Island fire marshal’s office assisted in the investigation.
