WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — A fire at a Warwick home overnight heavily damaged the building.

Investigators were called to the home on George Arden Avenue around 2:30 a.m.

When crews arrived on scene, they found the house heavily engulfed in fire.

They were on scene a couple of hours to put the fire out.

People were inside the home at the time of the fire, but they were able to make it out safely.

One person was taken to the hospital to get checked out, but the injuries are not serious.

Some cars and the siding of a neighbors home were also damaged.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
