East Greenwich police investigating weekend crash

EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (WPRI) — Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that sent five people to area hospitals early Saturday morning.

It happened shortly after midnight on Frenchtown Road at the Route 4 overpass in East Greenwich.

Five people were transported to Kent Hospital and Rhode Island Hospital, according to East Greenwich Police Chief Stephen Brown.

There’s no word on the extent of their injuries.
