COVENTRY, R.I. (WPRI) — Three people in Coventry were arrested after police said they found fentanyl inside a home.

Police were called to a home on Mill Street early Sunday morning after witnesses saw a man show a gun during some sort of disturbance and take off from the scene. Three people were taken into custody at that time for disorderly conduct.

Police said investigators had been looking into the same residence for a few weeks prior to the disturbance after receiving complaints from neighbors about drug dealing in the area.

Officers were able to get a search warrant for the home just hours later. Inside they said they found suspected fentanyl, a digital scale, packaging materials, and a replica handgun.

As a result, police arrested Alberto Ayala jr., 25, Andrew Law, 22 and Maraysha Cunningham, 26, all of 66 Mill St. They were all charged with controlled substance conspiracy and disorderly conduct. Ayala and Law were also charged with possession with intent to deliver fentanyl.

All three suspects are expected in court at a later date.
