CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — Cranston police are investigating after a man was killed in a crash Wednesday night.
Major Todd Patalano said the man was driving down Dyer Avenue around 10 p.m. when he hit a parked car and crashed into a nearby home.
The man later succumbed to his injuries, according to Patalano.
A neighbor told 12 News she was upstairs in her home when the crash happened, saying her house shook and the lights flickered. She adds that crashes are common on the street.
“It’s very dangerous on this street and I hope whatever the circumstances around this were, I hope the city takes that into consideration and tries to do something for the residents because we are all very concerned,” Nikki Miller said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation at this time.
