Westerly Police investigating hit and run

WESTERLY, R.I. (WPRI) — A bicyclists was struck by a hit and run driver Saturday night, according to Westerly Police.

The incident happened around around 11:30 p.m. on Canal Street, near the National Grid Transfer Station.

Police say when they arrived on scene, the vehicle had taken off.

Investigators believe the vehicle involved may have been a 90’s Ford truck or SUV, with damage to the passenger’s side and possibly missing the passenger’s side mirror. 

Anyone who has information on the incident is asked to call Westerly Police.
