A volunteer rehabilitation facility is asking for donations after rescuing a litter of baby foxes after their parents disappeared.
The Wildlife Rehabilitators Association of Rhode Island said they rescued four baby red foxes Saturday from a den underneath a porch in Saunderstown. They said the parents had not returned to the den for several days, which is unusual.
The foxes are being kept at the Wildlife Clinic, which said the baby foxes were dehydrated and malnourished when they were found. Volunteer Veterinarian Dr. Chi Chan is caring for the foxes.
The organization said they are asking for donations to help treat and care for the foxes.
