Motorcyclist killed in South Kingstown highway crash

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) — Investigators have cleared the scene where a motorcycle rider died following a crash Sunday night in South Kingstown.

The crash took place around 7:30 p.m. on Route 1 North in the area of the Post Road/Camp Fuller Road off-ramp, according to police.

No other vehicles were involved.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are withholding that person’s name pending family notification.

Police on Monday returned to the crash site as they continue to investigate the cause. They cleared the scene by mid-afternoon and the road fully reopened.
