Man suffers serious injuries while removing trees from Richmond yard

South County

RICHMOND, R.I. (WPRI) — A man working for a tree removal company was rushed to the hospital after a tree fell on top of this skid steer loader in Richmond Tuesday afternoon.

Police said the worker was removing trees from a yard on Gardiner Road when the incident occurred.

The man was moving a large log with the skid steer loader when the log pitched forward and pinned the worker in the driver’s compartment, according to police.

Once crews were able to remove the man from the compartment, police said first responders performed CPR on him until he was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
