Coast Guard report shows new information in Nathan Carman case

South County

There are new revolutions in the Nathan Carman investigation from the Coast Guard about the search for him and his mother.
According to a report obtained by the Hartford Courant, South Kingstown police treated the initial disappearance of Nathan and Linda Carman as “a potential crime”, because Nathan Carman was previously a person of interest in his grandfather’s death in 2013.

South Kingstown police towed the Carmans’ cars from Ram Point Marina “so they can’t escape.”
As Eyewitness News previously reported, Nathan Carman was found in a raft eight days after his boat sank. His mother was never found.
Carman claims he lost sight of her, when the fishing boat was taking on water.
The incident happened in September of 2016.
