51st Special Olympics Rhode Island continues Saturday

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) — The 51st annual Special Olympics Rhode Island State Summer Games continued Saturday at the University of Rhode Island.

Today’s events include athletics, cycling, power lifting, bowling unified soccer and swimming.

More than 4,000 athletes competed against their peers throughout the duration of the event.

Eyewitness News Chief Meteorologist Tony Petrarca, anchors Shannon Hegy and Caroline Goggin and The Rhode Show’s Brendan Kirby attended the events.
